From being born and raised in Dakar to college at Spelman to the impact she’s having in her community back home, Rugi gave us some amazing insight into her wellness journey as an African Black woman.

We spoke about yoga as self-improvement practice on and off the mat, where it intersects with Islam, the embodiment of yoga in its African origins and the power of that representation.
