Casandra Austin-McDonald is a Personal Growth Strategist, speaker, and author and the CEO of Live Greater Institute. Casandra empowers professional women (and men) to conquer toxic conditioning and rediscover their self-worth. Casandra is also a mental health advocate, the host of the Grow Thru It podcast, and has been featured on several other podcasts, blogs, and various media outlets.

Jo speaks and teaches about decolonizing faith and theology, as well as  the importance of dismantling white supremacy, patriarchy and capitalism  both individually and collectively.

Washingtonian Tracye McQuirter, MPH, is a writer, speaker, public health nutritionist, and 33-year vegan who has been teaching people how and why to live a healthy vegan lifestyle for the past 30 years. She is the recipient of multiple awards for her public health nutrition and vegan advocacy and was named a national food hero changing the way America eats for the better by Vegetarian Times. She's the author of the book Ageless Vegan, which Library Journal starred as “raising the standard of plant-based cuisine,” and the national best-seller By Any Greens Necessary, which established her as one of the most influential vegans in the country. She directed the nation’s first federally funded vegan nutrition program and was a nutrition advisor for the Black Women’s Health Imperative. Tracye recently created the first-of-its-kind, free African American Vegan Starter Guide in partnership with Farm Sanctuary and previously co-created one of the earliest vegan websites 20 years ago, which was also the first by and for African American vegans. Her work has appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, USA Today, Essence, Bon Appetit, Ebony, Women’s Health, Black Enterprise, VegNews, The Huffington Post, and many more. Tracye is a graduate of Sidwell Friends School, Amherst College, and New York University, where she received a master's degree in public health nutrition.

Kirsten Powers is a USA Today columnist and CNN senior political analyst where she regularly appears on Anderson Cooper 360, CNN Tonight with Don Lemon and The Lead with Jake Tapper. The Washington Post has called her “bright-eyed, sharp-tongued, [and] gamely combative” and “a ferocious advocate for her points of view.” Kirsten is currently working on a book on how to bring grace into our toxic public

discourse for Convergent Books (Crown Publishing), which will be out in 2021. Prior to USA Today, Kirsten was a columnist for the Daily Beast, American Prospect Online and the New York Post. The Columbia Journalism Review praised her as “an outspoken liberal journalist” in a sea of opposition at Fox News, where she previously served as a political analyst. Before her career in journalism, Kirsten was a political appointee in the Clinton Administration and worked in New York Democratic politics. She was also Vice President for International Communications at America Online, Inc. where she oversaw the public launches of AOL businesses in Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Hong Kong and Australia.

Kiyomi LaFleur is the Founder and Creator of Awaken into Love,  an  online community for people who experience Relationship OCD. With over  half a million views on YouTube and over 1,000+ course and community  members, she dedicates her life to raising awareness on Relationship  OCD, anxiety and relationships. She has experienced debilitating Relationship  OCD, Hypochondria, panic disorder and general anxiety for years, and  used to suffer with every thought, emotion, feeling possible. Once she  overcame ROCD, she knew that she needed to be an expert in this field to  help others. Kiyomi's background is in Social Work, Yoga therapy and  Mindfulness based work. She has been working in the mental health  profession for over 6 years. After years of extensive research,  education, therapy and coaching, she has become an expert on  Relationship OCD. Her mission in life is to continue being an  Relationship OCD advocate and continues to educate people from all  around the world on finding freedom from ROCD.

It was such a joy interviewing the person directly responsible for helping me through my own journey with Relationship OCD!

I have just learned of the untimely death of legend Toni Morrison. Her death comes as a shock to me. In this episode, I share the memories I have of her, and also my thoughts and feelings about whiteness. This false construct in America and around the world that continues to be overlooked. Tune in as I read an article written by Toni Morrison called "Making America White Again" published online by The New Yorker on November 14, 2016. RIP Toni Morrison. First black woman to receive the Nobel literature prize, awarded in 1993

Joseph Conyers is an incredible musician, educator, and civic leader. Currently serving as acting associate assistant principal bass of the Philadelphia Orchestra. Conyers is also a gifted chamber musician who is committed to education and community engagement through music. In 2007, Ebony magazine named him one of "30 leaders 30 and under," and in that same year, along with two other colleagues, Conyers founded the Project 440, a youth education program in Philadelphia. 

The aim of Project 440 is to cultivate community leadership by exposing young people to music while teaching them career and life skills. In addition to his esteemed position with the Philadelphia Orchestra, Conyers serves as the music director of Philadelphia's All City Orchestra.
