Sources for the trade say the movie is still very early in development, as the film has no greenlight." But naming a writer is the closest the studio has come to moving forward on a standalone pic. The report also states Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige met with several potential candidates to write the film before choosing Schaeffer. No release date has been targeted at this time. Late last year, All the Money in the World made a mad scramble to do reshoots that would remove Kevin Spacey from the movie in order to replace him with Christopher Plummer. Now, according to USA Today, Mark Wahlberg was paid $1.5 million for his participation while co-star Michelle Williams only got an $80 per diem that added up to $1,000. OPENING THIS WEEK AGREE/DISAGREE John Williams has scored 8 out of the 10 Star Wars movies that were released in theatres and now it's officially official - he'll return to finish out the Skywalker Saga. Variety reports via Film Music Reporter that he is set to score J.J. Abrams' Star Wars: Episode IX with Williams saying that he would very much like to complete the Saga he started, way back in 1977. It was just a year ago when we learned that Batman Begins and Man of Steel screenwriter David S. Goyer was hired on to write the script for DC and Warner Bros.' Green Lantern Corps alongside writer Justin Rhodes, but not much else has been revealed since. Now Goyer is offering an update.
