In this episode, I am joined by Latoshia Rouse, Nikia Lawson a DONA trainer and Shafia Monroe a SMC Full Circle Doula trainer. Latoshia is certified to assist mothers and families as they navigate the journey through pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum, and she is also a two-time NICU mom, who possesses a divine ability to share with families who are dealing with some of their most challenging times.

As many know, black women experience medical trauma and inequality at alarmingly high rates during pregnancy and delivery, so Latoshia provides tremendous insights, based on her own story, as to why a Doula is a great idea for all families to consider.

Pregnancy is a beautiful journey, and we are prayerful that mothers are able to experience the fullness of the journey without having to bear the burden of incompetent care or poor treatment.
