Dr. Nixon-Bethea is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of New Jersey and is a nationally board certified counselor and an approved clinical supervisor through the Center for Credentialing and Education. She is the owner of a private counseling practice—Intentional Hearts Counseling (https://drlorinixon.com), and she teaches as an Assistant Professor of psychology and Counseling at Georgian Court University in Lakewood New Jersey. In 2019, Dr. Nixon Bethea released her first children’s book, Riley’s Worry Away: A Children’s Book About Worrying (https://drlorinixon.com/books/). Dr. Nixon-Bethea’s expertise has been quoted in Cosmopolitan magazine, Very Well Health, and Shape magazine.
