Hugging The Cactus Dale Wheatley was the writer and producer of Don's Plum starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Tobey Maguire. The film was a slice of 90's life, done as a black & white indie. Leonardo DiCaprio made a deal with Dale and director R.D. Robb (A Christmas Story) to support the film, as long as it didn't embarrass him.
