Frustration!

This is a very good story. I would have rated it higher if it had not been drawn out into so many parts. I really hate this and the fact that I get sucked into buying them! That is on me. It would have been a great 2 - 3 novel series!! That being said, I will finish this series. It really is a good story for those of us who love the Walking Dead!

Rocking the apocalypse

This series of books is a must read for fans of the genre. Jeff weaves fantastic stories of survival during the zombie apocalypse with characters that are true to life. They could be you or somebody you know that have to make spot on decisions that mean life or death in the tragic circumstances they face. No series of books that I have read are as heartfelt or exciting as the world Jeff creates. Zombies being the primary monsters in the book sometimes take a backseat to the horrors of what's left of some of the deranged humans who have no moral compass. Each volume keeps you wanting more hoping for the survival of your favorite characters. I would highly recommend this series for horror fans and those that love great story telling. Jeff is at the top his game and these books are the proof :)

Slightly better edited

This series is getting easier to read, also making it so much more exciting. We are finally seeing some minor degree of editing for spelling and grammar! There's still a long way to go in this area, but a ton of potential story as well... Looking forward to the next one!

edge of your chair

I like the series. It is a believable scenario without so much technical jargon that you lose sight of the story. Unlike many science fiction writers who try to impress you with their scientific research as to the plausibility of their premise Jeff Olah just says this is what happened, this is how people are dealing with it while they fight for survival and to discover what, who, where and why. The characters are real people with believable responses. The down side is the. Volumes are to short you just get started and your brain gets caught up to where you left off and progresses in the story a short way when you are left hanging again. Kind of like one step back, two steps forward then one step back again. The stop and start writing is a little annoying. I would suggest you read the 1-6 volumes collection then wait for the next group of volumes to be available unless you really like the stop and start style.
