Episode 56 features Chris Middlebrook.

Chris has been filming and documenting skate parts and videos for 3 decades now, starting out in Frankston shooting for Blank Clothing, to working with Nike SB and Alien Workshop. Chris would also find himself coaching the Australian Olympic skateboarding team at the Tokyo Olympics in 2020, and film various music videos. 

Chris has a new book launching called PAUSE, which showcases all that he has documented over the last 30 years, the book launches at Hillvale Gallery November 28th. In this chat Chris speaks on the creation of PAUSE, going through years of archival videos and stills, how he found his way into filming skate parts, leaving his day job, and more.

Episode 55 features Alex Macfarlane. Alex has played in and been a part of countless bands over the years, including Faceless Burial, The Twerps, The Green Child, The Stevens, and more. He also runs his own independent label, Hobbies Galore, embracing DIY mentality to the core, releasing various of his own solo albums and tapes, as well as records from bands such as The Green Child and Possible Humans.

Episode 53 features vocalist and drummer Nadine Muller.

Nadine is a member in bands The Prize and Loose Lips, alongside her output as a drummer and vocalists, she also runs her own makeup and hair styling business, working with the likes of Ringo Starr, Nick Cave, and others.

Episode 52 features bass player Julian Teakle, one half of Tasmania's duo The Native Cats and co owner of independent record label Rough Skies Records.

Julian has played in various bands over the years, such as The Native Cats, The Bad Luck Charms, and The Frustrations, has helped Hobart and Tasmanian bands form and flourish, archived the city’s underground music scenes, put on countless shows, and been a key pillar in sharing and shaping Hobart’s punk and post punk scene.

Episode 51 features tattoo artist and Arakan martial arts instructor Dan Octoriver.

Dan was born in Indonesia before moving to the Gold Coast and now resides in Melbourne. He currently tattoos at New Age in Carlton and Good Luck Tattoo in the CBD.

In this episode, Dan opens up about discovering his love for Arakan martial arts, becoming an Arakan instructor, moving to Australia from Indonesia, finding discipline through MMA, getting into tattooing in his teenage years and more.

Episode 50 features singer songwriter Dylan Young (Way Dynamic).

Dylan grew up in Ballarat before moving to Melbourne nearly a decade ago. Since then, he has gone on to release albums under Way Dynamic, releasing 'So Familiar' (2022) and 'Duck' (2024). His third album, titled 'Massive Shoe', is set to release this August. Dylan has also gone on to tour with the likes of Mj Lenderman and Waxahatchee.

Episode 49 features painter and artist Mark Bo Chu. Mark has stepped into many spaces and worlds over the years, from writing and painting to science and now fatherhood. His work has been exhibited both locally and overseas, Mark is continuing to push his art with the same intensity today.

Episode 48 features Melbourne based street photographer Scott.

Scott has been documenting the streets of Melbourne for the last five or so years. Shooting predominantly people from all walks of life on their daily commutes. You’ll find him most days walking the CBD and surrounding areas camera in hand.
