Women with bleeding disorders, including those with hemophilia and other rare inherited bleeding disorders, are disproportionately affected by bleeding than men due to menstruation and pregnancy. However, evidence suggests that many Ob/Gyns have difficulty recognizing potential bleeding disorders and find the management of bleeding disorders in their patients challenging, particularly when they present with menorrhagia or bleeding complications during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period.

To help Ob/Gyns overcome these challenges, this activity will identify the signs and symptoms that should raise suspicion of a bleeding disorder and discuss management strategies for female patients with bleeding disorders, particularly menorrhagia and disorders during pregnancy and childbirth.
