Blepharoplasty is an eyelid surgery that involves removing excess skin for a more youthful look and improved vision if the skin drooping is causing sight issues. As with all surgeries, there are risks such as infection, scarring, potential eyelid/vision function problems like dryness and difficult closing the eyelid and adverse reaction to anesthesia. Downtime is also required due to swelling and bruising but many people have also reported a boost in their self-confidence.
