There is so much I feel I “ought” to do.
But which weighs more: my responsibility
or my fear of being unable to fulfill it?
God, grant me your blessed powerlessness,
emptiness of hands, willingness of heart,
so that there is no hope for it
but your grace, which is infinite.

         Blessed are the poor in spirit.
