During the holidays, there is a great emphasis placed on identifying the blessings of life. Each life is full of both blessings and burdens. As children of God, we should be able to trust God enough to not only recognize the blessings of life, but the blessings within the burdens. This series seeks to show Biblical stories that are marked by great burdens but also great blessings.  

Lesson 1: Digging For the Blessing 

Genesis 26:18-32  

1. Blessings and burdens are both in the will of God. 

2. Burdens move you but blessings keep you. 

3. Blessings are a call for worship. 

4. Live in the blessings not the burdens. 

5. Show others the blessings rather than the burdens. 

6. Don't let the burden of digging distract you from the blessings of God.
