Bears multiple readings
Full disclosure: I am Steve Huff's editor and publisher. But before that, I was a fan of his work. There is a lot here to unpack and each stories bears multiple readings, disclosing new secrets with every turn. And I should know, I've read each story at least a dozen times in preparation for publication and audiobook recording.
Blissful reading!
I remember, decades ago, falling in love with J.P. Donleavy's work and had the exact same "joy of discovery" with Blissful & Other Stories by Steve Huff. I love the sometimes tender, and at other times wry humor in these stories with their odd, often most endearing characters and their original habits & lives. The dialogs are remarkable. These are ten, most entertaining stories. A blissful reading indeed!
