Welcome back everyone!
Have you ever been told that you need tougher skin? That you were too soft? Too emotional? Do you feel like you feel emotions deeper than most people and therefore at times you hurt deeper as well? Then today’s blog is for you.
In a world where we are often encouraged not to wear our hearts on our sleeve, not to cry, and not to show emotion, it can feel like being an emotional person is a bad thing. We obviously know this is not correct. God created us as emotional beings. It’s our emotions that grant us opportunities to connect with others and can tell us more about a situation than our five senses ever could. But on the flip side, our emotions can also lead us to perceive things that aren’t true.
So, what is the role of our emotions and how can we make them work for us instead of against us? I talk about it in today’s blog, “Spiritually Managing Your Emotions.”
If you aren't following my blog, I invite you to do so by clicking the Follow button on Spotify. Also, if you like what I'm sharing, I would love it if you followed me on social media (@alisamiam on IG) and share the blogs in your circles. It is my continuous goal to take you along on my singles journey and help other singles navigate their season of waiting, one blog at a time.
Love you all! 💕
