Listen Later

This blogcast explores “Persevering through the “Gray” Moments with Christ" written by Christian Bordak-Roseman and read by Tom Carani.

“Persevering through the ‘Gray’ Moments with Christ,” written by Christian Bordak-Roseman and read by Tom Carani.

In his blog post, Christian discusses that different life situations or transitions can lead to one feeling isolated or alone in relation with God and Jesus Christ. However, Christian reminds us that many Saints have experienced similar feelings, for example, St. Mother Teresa, whose feast day is September 5th and is patron saint of World Youth Day, and St. John of the Cross, whose feast day is December 14th and is the patron saint of mystics and contemplatives. These feelings of spiritual drought and doubting is referred to as the dark night of the soul. With these and other Saints as models, we are to trust in this dark night of the soul and persevere through it, knowing the Christ is with us through the midst of it and bright flows the river of God.
