Hello Inky Thinkers and welcome to the 23rd episode of the podcast
This time around I am taking a deeper look at what it entails to be a tattoo artist, by looking at the acclaimed book "Blood and Lightning".
What is called an autoethnographic study, conducted by sociologist, author and former tattoo artist Dustin Kiskaddon, where he chronicles his own journey and experience in becoming and working as a tattoo artist.
I am of course not alone, and I have none other than the author himself on the podcast with me.
Together we get into his inspirations for his research and writing the book, his own passion and love for tattoos, what tattooing is when you look at it from sociology and other social sciences, and discuss what actually goes into the work tattoo artists do, beyond the creative side and putting ink into the skin.
To learn more, you really should enjoy the full episode.
As always, there is love, laughter, deep discussion, and something to learn!
Please enjoy and share with your friends, family, pets, and anyone else into tattoos!
