A report from Bloomberg Businessweek on October 8th, 2018 claims that as many as 30 different companies (including Apple and Amazon) were compromised by a hardware attack against server motherboards provided to them by manufacturer SuperMicro. Apple has issued a statement denying these claims, but Bloomberg claims to have insider knowledge that these claims are legitimate.
