Blue Jean Country Queen episodes
- I introduced Billy Joe Shaver to the Bar Where He Shot a Man
Welcome to the first episode of Blue Jean Country Queen.
I'm starting with one of the wildest stories I've collected during my years in the country music business: how I introduced Billy Joe Shaver to the Texas bar where he would later shoot a man- and how I almost ended up as a character witness at his trial.
My name was read aloud in court, Willie Nelson and Robert Duvall were there, and yes, I have the post-trial photo to prove it.

About Blue Jean Country Queen
From the publisher's feed
Come as you are and get comfortable. I'm Kimberly Kelly- a country singer-songwriter, wife, mom, and storyteller. I talk about life as it happens: music, getting older, wild stories, and also the…
women (and sometimes men) in and around the music business who make it go round. Sometimes I'll have a guest; sometimes it'll just be me. Life happens, we write and sing about it, and sometimes just talk about it.
