We discuss Paula’s experiences of growing up within a culturally diverse neighborhood in New Jersey, the development of her worldview, seeking to better understand herself through the study of sociology/psychology, the Women’s Movement helping her to “break out of the box,” having a transformative encounter with Angela Davis, practicing Buddhism, peacebuilding person-to-person within conflict zones across the globe, founding the Karuna Center for Peacebuilding, finding hope within our shared humanity, creating the CONTACT: Conflict Transformation Across Cultures Program at the SIT Graduate Institute, working to dialogue across divides in her latest project entitled, “Hands Across the Hills,” and much more.
