 The Pittsburgh Brewing company and US Steel present Mango-Rita in Paradise the ultimate Jimmy Buffett Tribute Concert and Summer Party, on Saturday July 25th at The Pittsburgh Brewing Company in Creighton.  Live music by headliner Buffet Beach, summer games, food trucks, and prize giveaways throughout the event.  We talked to Pittsburgh Brewing President, Todd Zwicker, about the planning for this awesome party by the Allegheny River.

The Iron City Pittsburgh Music Festival takes place this weekend, July 11 and July 12 at The Pittsburgh Brewing Company in Creighton.  Proceeds from the event will go to Autism Pittsburgh and Band Together Pittsburgh, an organization that helps people with autism in Western Pennsylvania create music and other forms of art.  The festival lineup includes Pittsburgh music legends such as Joe Grushecky, Billy Price, Norman Nardini and The Gathering Field among many others.  We talked to John Vento, organizer and co-founder of Band Together Pittsburgh, about the event.

Cresson Lake Playhouse presents the comedy, Lend Me A Tenor, playing until June 28.  We spoke to CLP Executive Director, Tara Brodish and President of the Board of Directors, Scott Getz about the summer lineup of shows.  We also discussed the importance of fundraising and offering local students educational opportunities in the arts.

The third annual Brunch and Bloom will be held on Saturday, May 16 at the Bottleworks in Cambria to honor the programs served under the umbrella of Beginnings, Inc.  One of those programs, Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) is celebrated as one of the premier organizations in the Laurel Highlands region.  We talked to Jes Phillipi, Director of Beginnings Inc, Taylor Smay of CASA; and our very own Bubba Connor, who was recently honored as the CASA Volunteer of The Year.

The Raise the Ruff fundraiser takes place on Saturday, April 25 at the Woodvale Athletic Club, 630 Maple Ave, Johnstown to benefit the Humane Society of Cambria County.  Proceeds from the basket party/bake sale will help fund the construction of a new facility for the Cambria County Humane Society.  Organizers Tracy McCarthy and Janice Bunch discussed their enthusiasm and purpose for organizing this event.

Veronica Crum and Tara Hogan of Pennsylvania Special Olympics discuss a basket party that will held at The Grove in Westmont section of Johnstown on Saturday.  Tickets are $10 with a small lunch provided.  Doors open at 11:00AM with drawing at 2:00 to benefit Special Olympics of Cambria County.
