🎧 Boarding School Murder Mystery - Chapter 9: Werewolves, Wendigos, Whatever: Tales of the Alberta Highway
This week, Gwen’s “normal” school day turns into a crash course in Canadian wilderness horror.
A bizarre new Health class leads to an EMT’s gruesome backwoods tale… which somehow becomes less disturbing than Raine’s casual story about seasonal highway cleanup work in Alberta. What starts as abandoned cars and trash pickup spirals into missing coworkers, creepy voices calling from the trees, and creatures that might—might—stand up on two legs and imitate your mother’s voice from the forest at dawn. 😨🌲👤
Now Gwen has an entirely new problem: If the monsters are real… how is she ever supposed to sleep again?
⚠️ Content Advisory: Reader discretion is advised. This chapter includes discussions of alcoholism, a detailed EMT story involving suicide and frozen remains, references to blood and body recovery, mentions of dead bodies found in vehicles, the use of firearms, and supernatural horror elements such as predatory creatures and unexplained disappearances. Themes of fear, danger, and survival in remote wilderness settings are present throughout.
Catch Gwen’s chaos (and Sadie Cohen: Bounty Hunter, too!) wherever you get your podcasts: Spotify, Apple, YouTube, and beyond.
