We attempt to build a bridge of boats from Eastport to Lubec, just as Xerxes did in 480 BC at the Hellespont. And actually, over 500 years later, in around 40 AD, Roman Emperor Caligula decided to try the same stunt. We calculate that by stringing 900 lobster boats side-by-side, and piling dirt on top to create a highway, we can shave 40 minutes from the drive between the two mini-metropolises.
