TEXT: Hebrews 11:7INTRO: I can’t think of any role more critical to the advancement of the Kingdom than that of a dad. Dad, you’re important. When God made you a father, He entrusted to you a great responsibility and installed you to a tremendous place of honor. In this church, we stand behind you! If you doubt the importance of dad this morning, let me share a powerful statistic I came across just a few weeks ago. A study conducted in 2016 found the following results relating to the likelihood of a household to find Christ based on whom the first member of the house to be saved was. When a child was the first member of the family to be saved, the likelihood of the rest of the family finding Jesus was 3.5%. When mom is the first to find Jesus, that probability increases to 17%. But if dad finds Jesus first, batten down the hatches. There’s a 97% chance that the rest of the family will find Jesus. Dad, you’re important! Of the whole family, you have the greatest opportunity to save your family for eternity. Today, I want us to study a man who did just that. Let’s see what we can learn from the life of Noah.
