The commission has once again raised the possibility of a sales tax increase in order to fund the roads. Logically, a compromise plan with the sales tax is a reasonable pitch worth considering. Emotionally though, the commission will never be able to properly sell the public on it until their own actions match the responsible handling of funds that will convince the public the increase will be well managed.
