Commenting on another's body is always a risky move. Whether they struggle with the average body image issues, full blown body dysmorphia, have poor health, or are in recovery from an eating disorder, those words have impact. We live in a society that is constantly critiquing and commenting on the bodies of those in the spotlight. Because of that, it's become common place to comment on standardized facets of 'beauty'. These comments can then impact the way we view ourselves, others, and the world around us. Whether the comment is on body shape/structure, body size, weight loss/gain, or our general appearance, these words hold power and can create a lasting impact.
