The mirror can be hard place to look, but so many of us can’t stop looking. When I struggled with body image, I had a love-hate relationship with the mirror: I loved to check, but I hated what I saw. It was a hard way to live. Most days when I looked in the mirror I felt ashamed and defeated.

I had to learn about acceptance of myself as I am, and to expand the focus of what I see when I look in the mirror.

Today, I have a like-like relationship with the mirror. I don’t value the mirror as much as I used to, and most days, I can use it as a tool to reasonable evaluate my reflection, which I have decided I am happy with.

Be sure to tune in to hear how to develop a like-like relationship with the mirror too.
