Lauren Boebert held up a House hearing this week as she took time to scroll through her phone. Boebert was recognized as holding the floor, but the Congresswoman from Colorado had some business to tend to on her mobile device, and told the Chairwoman to wait "one moment." Boebert was allegedly looking for the text of the Amendment that she was supposed to talk about, but couldn't find it and didn't seem to remember what was in it.

Also, Judge Aileen Cannon doesn't seem to be in any hurry to start Donald Trump's trial in the documents case, and she's taking her sweet time even having hearings on motions put forth by both parties in the case. Cannon won't even hear a conflict of interest motion against the Trump attorneys until October, even though these motions and the corresponding evidence was filed months ago. Delays help Trump, and Cannon is well aware of that.

And finally, two fake Trump electors that have been indicted in Michigan filed motions this week to have their charges dismissed, and they are trying to use the Attorney General's own words as proof that they can't be charged. Michigan AG Dana Nessel said at a recent event that the fake electors in 2020 were "brainwashed" by Trump and Republicans, so the fake electors are now claiming in court that this "brainwashing" prevents them from being charged. Clever, but it won't work.
