Its one thing to have mechanical trouble with a commercial aircraft on the ground at your departure gate.  It's quite another to have problems with your only ride home when you are in outer space.  That is the dilemma Boeing's Starliner astronauts find themselves in.  An eight-day trip has now become several months, with no firm return date.  Will they ever make it home safely?
