She earned her PhD from the Centre for Research in Learning and Change at the University of Technology, Sydney in 2015. Amina currently works as an independent researcher and educator, with an interest in community development, civic engagement, educational governance, and teaching learning practices in higher education. She is an adjunct faculty at Kathmandu University.
