This week’s guests, for Bold Moves Podcast Episode 117 Samah Damanhoori has done some serious, bold moves. Samah made a huge bold move when she moved fromSaudi Arabia to the United States, though her Father was not pleased. Samah had a passion to study in the United States, but her culture prevents women from traveling, going to school, or making any major decisions without a male relatives permission. Samah's father ended up telling her to return home or else she would not be able to see her family again. Instead, Samah followed her heart, and was taken in by the community in the Bay Area which helped her pay her tuition, get food, and find a place to live while she gets her Master's degree. She's working on various projects, including an animated film, as well as a website to help Saudi Arabian people share their stories and struggles. Hopefully, Samah's story will interest you.
