This week’s guest, for Bold Moves Podcast Episode 195 Brent Allen has some bold moves! In 2015 Brent made the decision to get involved in trying to solve the issues plaguing The Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary. When Brent deciding to get involved he has been in perpetual motion collaborating with numerous non-profits, local businesses, media, and many other groups. When Brent decides to get involved, he decides to go all in. He also has a passion for National Parks and National Monuments and has been active in trying to get people outside and understanding first hand why we need to protect these open spaces for future generations. In our call, Brent recommended* a few books, if you're interested I've provided the links here. The books were Blue Mind: The Surprising Science That Shows How Being Near, In, On, or Under Water Can Make You Happier, Healthier, More Connected, and Better at What You Do by Wallace J. Nichols, Desert Solitaire by Edward Abbey, An Indigenous Peoples' History of the United States (ReVisioning American History) by Roxanne Dunbar-Ortiz, The Lorax (Classic Seuss) by Dr. Seuss

If you want to connect with Brent, you can find him on his website, Twitter, Tumblr, and Instagram.

This episode reminds me of a few past episodes, because of Brent's passion and involvement. For example, if you missed them... Nicole Zamora for the passion about sustainability with her organic salon in Denver, Carol Hampshire for swimming with sharks in South Africa, and Cassandra Burke for the craziness of being a triathlete!
