Beginning in the Garden of Eden and continuing throughout all of God’s recorded works, there is a highly determining and vital pattern that prevails, and that is the pattern of male and female. First encapsulating and marking this effectual truth is indeed the creation of Adam and Eve, as well as the like tree of the knowledge of good and evil and the tree of life. This is furthermore seen in bones and flesh. Bones are masculine, government; while flesh is feminine, results or offspring. Furthermore, we see that the Garden of Eden was in fact a type of the kingdom of heaven, the church. And therein we see its structure, as well as its purpose; and this type goes even further to provide a testimony of what would take place in all mankind.
