Rev. David Collins
March 29, 2026
This Palm Sunday sermon follows the Gospel of Mark through the tension of Holy Week…from the crowds waving palm branches to the cross where Jesus cries out, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”
We explore how Jesus’ life, his confrontation of injustice, and his refusal to turn away...even when it cost him everything,...reveal a different kind of God than many of us were taught to believe in.
Along the way, we reflect on the witness of Dietrich Bonhoeffer, who wrestled with what it means to follow Jesus in a world that feels like it’s coming apart…and what it looks like to remain faithful when there are no easy answers and no last-minute miracles.
Because at some point…
knowing something is wrong has to turn into doing something about it.
