+Lancelot Andrewes (1555 – 25 September 1626) served as the Bishop of Chichester, Winchester, and Ely. In addition he was a Chaplain to the King and a favorite preacher of King James I. He was a primary editor of the Authorized Version of the Bible (King James Bible), and a lead translator for the Old Testament books: Genesis - 1 Kings.
His theology is vital to the current manifestation of Anglican theology and we regard him as a patron of this show.
