Extreme Championship Wrestling was more than just circling the drain at this point. TNN announced that they would be dropping ECW TV and picking up WWF Raw is War in the fall, ECW couldn't hold onto talent as they were leaving for greener pastures, their relationship with FMW was falling apart, and there were more and more money issues each week. This show managed to sell out in Milwaukee, however, and was a fitting end to Lance Storm's run in ECW as he main evented against former tag-team partner, ECW Champion Justin Credible. This was was also billed as having three main events, with Rhino defending the TV Title against the Sandman and Rob Van Dam and Jerry Lynn both returning to the ring to do battle against one another.
