When 2 Bearded Losers was still an active podcast, Alex and I did an episode where we praised the original Mortal Kombat film from 1995. Alex then went on to destroy the 2021 reboot. Throughout time since then, he's always mentioned how he's only seen the opening sequence to the 1997 sequel and loved that part of it. Time to pull the trigger and get him to watch it in full. This brings out a lot of questions, though. Like what will Alex think about Raiden being recast with the a$$hole member of The Warriors? Wait, they really cast the villain from Cobra as Shao Kahn? Why are they traveling from place to place by use of the spherical cages from American Gladiators? And just how cheap WAS the Halloween costume used to "portray" Baraka?All this will be answered and more. Time to find out if Alex will say this movie scored a Flawless Victory, a decent Friendship, or if he just suffered a FATALITY.
