Scott sits down with filmmaker Craig Bass and Doc Mack, the owner of Galloping Ghost Arcade, the world's largest video game arcade, to discuss the upcoming documentary, Ghostlord and the Quest for Dark Presence.
The film chronicles Doc's life story including his dream to make a fighting game similar to Mortal Kombat, a project that started in his teenage years. The game, which is called Dark Presence, has been in the making for twenty-eight years, and Doc hopes to breath new life into the arcade market with its upcoming release. The documentary includes countless interviews with those included with the project, industry legends, and Doc himself. It all leads to the founding of his massive arcade in Brookfield, Illinois over a decade ago.
Listen as Scott interviews Doc and Craig about why they're both so passionate about this project and some of the details surrounding getting the film off the ground. Their goal is to release the film by the end of the year, but they're needing your help to make this an even better product. A Kickstarter is in place for the film, which ends on Friday, April 28th. Please consider contributing, as this looks to be an incredibly fun documentary with a ton of love behind it.
