Hey Everyone,
Angela Bowen here, the host of Looking Back Back On My Wonder Years: A Wonder Years Podcast.
Today, I decided to cover the next entry in the Look Who's Talking Trilogy, Look Who's Talking Too which was released in 1990 a year after Look Who's Talking (1989).
Movie Synopsis:
This time, a new baby is on the way, and it's a girl. Wrapped together with the standard conflict between mother and father, Mikey engages in a bit of sibling rivalry with his new sister.
We also get the return of Molly's parents and Molly's friend Ron from the first movie, as well as a couple new characters, Molly's brother Stuart and Mikey's new friend Eddie (Voiced by Damon Wayans). Gilbert Godfrey guests as the the owner of the Baby Gym that Molly takes Mikey to and boy oh boy is this guy annoying, screaming at the kids, threatening to slap them, talking about having a heart attack multiple times and this is all speaking to toddlers.
Molly's brother is... wow, I really have no words other than he is an (out of work accountant)a major dumb dumb, living on Molly and James's couch and threatening to shoot anyone who walks through their door including and not limited to James coming home from work and Roda coming to stay after her place is robbed, mind you with an unloaded gun with toddlers in the house. WTF!
Baby Julie (voiced by Roseanne Barr) is amazingly hilarious in this movie, I can't see anyone else doing her voice. While reviewing this movie I do recall the tv version which I remember had deleted scenes that weren't in the theatrical cut.
If love Elvis Presley, this is the movie for you, we have two Elvis Song Montages (James With "All Shook Up" At The Baby Gym) and(Molly With "Are You Lonesome Tonight?) while missing James and watching old romantic black and white movies in bed), so many song montages, ("I Love Being A Girl") Molly and Julie Dress Up For James/Daddy Montage) and Mikey's (Jealous Guy) Look Who's Talking/Look Who's Talking Too Flashback Montage. Not to mention James and Molly are always calling each other Elvis and Priscilla.
I had a fun time covering this movie and hope you all enjoy it too.
Stay tuned for December 2020, next month, I'll be covering the final movie in the trilogy Look Who's Talking Now (1993).
Have a great week everyone and continue to stay safe.
