Zahra and Hien recorded this episode on Zahra’s birthday on December 19. In this bonus episode, we talk about the sad news of Stephen “tWitch“ Boss’s death and had a very candid conversation about suicide. From the reactions we saw on the suicides of public figures like Boss to our personal experiences with depression and suicidal ideation. Furthermore, we discussed mental health and trauma in communities of color. Lastly, we emphasized the importance of folks who have suffered from depression and suicide ideation to share their voices in the conversation. Because as Zahra says, “You being here is a goddamn miracle.“
