Jesus is ever present, and one of the most inviting portions of scripture to turn to is the Book of Psalms. It's through this book that we recognize the gifts He has to offer us in fresh ways that speak to our ability to be transparent with Him in every way. And Barb Roose is drawing our attention to it this season of Lent.

For those of you who didn't grow up practicing Lent or still refrain from doing so today, I want to invite you to recognize the beauty of Scripture reading, prayer, worship, and repentance this season offers as we enjoy the opportunity to draw close to God as He draws close to us. There's peace in His presence, regardless of what problems you're facing.

TODAY, WE'RE REFLECTING ON PSALM 23 (NKJV)

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life. And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
