Welcome to the BONUS episode! The Lord's Prayer. Maybe you know it, can recite it by heart, maybe you have never heard it. Either way, old friend or new idea, it is worth taking a minute to really look at what this prayer is. The simple lines speak volumes about God and who He is. Jesus taught us to pray this prayer to give us a simple way to remember how to deepen our relationship with our Heavenly Father. It gives back in spades when we listen and intently pray. If you pray this without intention or emotion, it has become habit. I invite you to look anew at what Jesus has for us in prayer:

Our Father Who Is In Heaven- Acknowledging 
Thank Him for being your Father (psalm 139: 13-18)
Thank Him for adopting you into His Family through the blood of Jesus Christ (Romans 8:15-17)

Hallowed Be Your Name - Praising

Declare the Names of God out loud:

• Jehovah- Jireh God Provider (Gen 22:14)
• Jehovah - Rophe God Healer (Exodus 15:26)
• Jehovah - Nissi God is my Banner (Exodus 17:15)
• Jehovah - Shalom God is our Peace (Judges 6:24)
• Jehovah - Rohi God is my Shepherd (Psalm 23:1)
• Jehovah - Tsidkenu God is our Righteousness (Jer 23:6)
• Jehovah - Shammah God is Here (Ezekiel 48:35)

Your Kingdom Come, Your Will Be Done - Surrender
Pray this phrase over

• yourself 
• your family
• your sphere of influence
• your church
• nation, city, nations of the earth

Give Us This Day Our Daily Bread - Receive

• Pray for provision physically, emotionally, financially, and in relationships
• Pray over your day in specific details 
• Pray to abide in God in every situation

Forgive Us Our Debts As We Forgive Our Debtors- Repent

• Ask the Holy Spirit to show you any area of sin, confess and receive forgiveness 
• Is there anyone you need to forgive from the heart?
• Is there anyone you need to make things right with emotionally, relationally, financially? (Eph 4:32)

Lead Us Not Into Temptation But Deliver Us From Evil - Protection

• Pray and build a wall of protection (Romans 12:1-2)
• a mind that is renewed with God’s word
• eyes that are clean and clear
• ears that hear God and listen to others 
• hands to heal and give
• a disciplined heart of trust
• feet that walk towards holiness in all things

For Yours Is The Kingdom And The Power And The Glory Forever - Rest
Declare again His greatness and your submission to Him and His will (Colossians 1:13-18)
