Today I speak with Business Owner at Spire Autism, Martin Slyngstad.

Martin comes from California USA and is an Autism advocate.

He has spoken in Dubai, emphasising the need for more understanding with Autism, and advocating “When a flower doesn’t bloom, you fix the environment in which it grows, not the flower”.

Martin brings up:

• Your way of thinking is valid.
• You deserve to be seen and celebrated
• The need for sensory friendly spaces

provides a wonderful poem for us to listen to, and also jaw dropping sentences like these:

“Hope lies in the joy of a shattered moment and the excitement of a new milestone”.

He also wants to remind parents of Autistic children:

“Thank you for believing in your child when the world couldn’t yet see their light”.
