The former tenant of the townhouse-turned-hostel in North Vancouver has spoken out about what it was like living there. Shaun says he signed a three month lease in January 2017, but only stayed two months, because conditions were so bad.  Owner Emily Yu turned her home into an Airbnb with room for 15 people, much to the chagrin of the strata complex where her home is located. Yu remains defiant, saying she can do what she wants in her home. Now, there’s also an investigation into Yu’s finance ‘services’... Do Yu’s actions expose how weak the system is?
