As our kids are getting settled into school, we wanted to share with you this bonus episode with one of my favorite teachers, Chris Gibson.
We talk about living a life of gratitude for the things we take for granted on a regular basis. Chris raised 2 amazing boys by herself, she is very active in her church and her family has a heart for mission trips.
What started as her youngest son's heart being shaken by an African Children's Choir that visited her church, turned into a passion to love and serve the community they represented.
Today we live in a world where our kids have anything and everything at their fingertips, often they don't realize there is a world out there where kids have to walk miles to get water to drink.
School is a privilege the kids in Uganda and Kenya don't take lightly. The children there have very little according to our western culture standards, yet they exude more joy for life than I have ever seen.
If this spoke to you and you'd like more info on Daraja Children's Choir, check it out here.
Chris also mentions a new ministry her family has begun to assist called the Happy Bean Project.
You can get more info on how they help the homeless with mental health issues in Houston, Texas, check it out here.
