Following our episode on Mulan (2020) we felt that now was the perfect time to release the first episode we ever recorded that just so happens to be on another Disney Remake, Lion King (2019). This episode is different from the norm, but that’s on growth and figuring out a structure! You’ll hear the origins of Gaia’s Three Prongs of Representation and so many other concepts that pop up in later episodes (we name drop JOANNE and Gaia’s issues with the concept of ‘celebrity’). You’ll finally get to hear our long awaited conversation around African-ness and African American-ness. Get a glimpse of our ‘baby handwriting’ of episodes! Neeta outs themselves as a huge disney fan (and it is v cringe) and Gaia cannot pronounce the word ‘gazelle' this week on 'Bitch, Why?’!
