I think it's appropriate to discuss or even highlight our anticipation when going through devotionals. Devotionals can be challenging and sometimes difficult without processing our expectations in front of God.  Know that spiritual maturity is a lifestyle and that the goal to become closer to God influences more than we can see or understand.
