Animal Farm is a satirical allegorical novella published in Aug 17th 1945. George Orwell's ( Eric Arthur Blair) this particular work  alludes to the time frame starting from 1917 Russian revolution to the Joseph Stalin era. The book is quite self explanatory and needs no deliberate mapping of the scenarios to current times or in depth dissection of the issues touched upon.
