Anjanamma by Chattanathan. D is a story of a small-time village girl of Andhra Pradesh, India who fights all the odds to achieve her goals. She is allowed to pursue her regular education and it is there she finds her passion in robotics. Later on, she climbs to be the top boss of one of the biggest robotics companies in the world. The author of this book has given a detailed account of rural life, caste system, religion, ragging in college and much more prevalent in India. Also shown are the emotional struggles in the life of Anjanamma and how she hesitates to marry living so many years with robots, especially Nathan. The essence of having a companion with you who help you be a better version is beautifully portrayed.
