The College Conventions by Deepak Rosha is a book based on college life. The story starts with Rohan entering a new life at a new college. This book portrays Rohan’s college experience, the acquaintances he formed, the ups and downs and his pebbly love life. Later Rohan gets to know about the suicide of lovebirds from the college and there his life completely changes. The story is comprehensive and full of a variety of sentiments, including anxiety, enthusiasm, impulsiveness, love, affection, friendship and a lot more. Does Rohan get behind the suicide and unravels the mystery is what the reader has to experience.

With 32 chapters, the author’s writing is smooth and simple to read, which makes the overall reading experience pleasurable. The author provides detailed descriptions of the characters and the characters of Rita, Angad, Preet and Nisha are worth a mention. With entertaining conditions and outlandish incidences, the plot is full of twists and turns. The author has predominantly focused on college life which makes the book much more relatable with the title and the reader dives deep into several of his/her memories from college life.

With a typical plot around a mystery and college life, I feel the book is just apt for college students and those who are reading for years can pass it.
