This chapter teaches us that God is sovereign over history, holiness is the core of His character, and worship is our highest calling. Before we face the trials of the world, John invites us to see who is in control. Revelation 4 calms the anxious heart by reminding us that behind the noise of the world, there is a King who is holy, eternal, and worthy of all praise.

Ultimately, all of history is marching toward one single moment: the worship of the One on the throne.
